Before you read this, I highly recommend you read my “Stay gold stay fit” page in my tabs at the top so that the “fit” thing doesn’t scare you away. Let’s get one thing straight. I’ll go on the record and say that I am a firm believer in carbs and refuse to cut them out of my life. I love bread, I love beer and beer cheese loaded fries, and I have found a forever love with coffee. That being said, I also freakin’ love working out. I love the gym, I love sweating and the feeling of my heart beating out of my chest, and the relaxation of blocking out the world with my headphones. The treadmill is definitely one of the only places where it’s acceptable to rock Missy Elliot’s Pandora station… you’re damn right I’m gonna take that time to shine.
So, with that being said, you will never see me preaching about the “fit life” or anything like that. To be honest, that’s such a front to me. Instead, I’ll only talk about how kick ass it feels to fuel your body, and live a healthy life. Part of being healthy is not limiting yourself. I still love beer, I still love tacos and burgers, but I also love running as fast as I can until my feet can’t move anymore. I love getting into my zone. I love setting goals and kicking them right in the balls.
That’s what this kind of fitness is all about. Fit’n all this good food in your mouth, fueling your body, and exercising in ways that you don’t absolutely despise.
Here’s to all the burgers we will eat, all of the sets we have yet to complete, and working on ourselves until we can’t feel our feet.
P.S. I only said that because it rhymed… if your feet go numb during your workout please stop what you’re doing, pound a Gatorade, and call your doctor. We can totally do yoga or something more relaxing instead.
Anyway, let’s set some goals and kick them right in the balls. Welcome to my fitness journey, and hopefully to your’s too!
